The Leeds Oceana is the taster show to wet the appetite for Bad Company’s Richard Smith’s Town Hall event in June, The event still featured a strong line up including Rich Cadden and Luke Turner both dominating . Check out the photos below

War at OMMAC 3

Tony Moran and Shuan Lomas fought one of the hardest fought bouts this year, at OMMAC 3.Towering Tony from Wolfslair MMA the fomer boxer just lost the decsion against Lomas perhaps the most active fighter in the UK today.

Moran suffered three broken ribs in the first round from a hard knee from Thai Boxing expert Lomas, and after the bout was rushed to hospital after collapsing backstage. He later found he had also received a fractured ankle in the contest which he probably would have won without the points deduction he incurred after an illegal axkick to the down Lomas.

Lomas went on to fight the next day on another event, and again the following weekend.

Could be a very exciting rematch.

Liverpool Olympia saw perhaps the first white collar MMA event last saturday 19th September. The brainchild of Kaobon fighter Mack Scanlon the Event proved to be a massive success with a sell out 1500+ crowd, who all were very vocal but well behaved. The Event featuring amateur rules with shin guards and headgear sponsored by Sandee (Thailand) proved so popular the second Cage Fight Club is being planned forDecember.

OMMAC Assassins, Liverpool Olympia 08/08/09

OMMAC (Olympian MMA Championships) is the new MMA event from former Cage Gladiators co-promoter Chris Zorba. Following the sudden demise of what was one of the UK’s most recognisable MMA Brands, Cage Gladiators, Chris was swift to plug the gaping hole left in the domestic scene with the launch of OMMAC at Cage Gladiators old residence The Liverpool Olympia. OMMAC’s inaugural event OMMAC Assassins, took place on Saturday 8^th August.
